MEMBER BENEFITS

FFGA provides the following services to Producer Members:

1.  Information Network
FFGA members receive a bimonthly edition of the FFGA newsletter (GrassRoots News & Views) as well as news bulletins, notices of upcoming events and brochures.  These publications strive to keep FFGA members up-to-date on association activities, extensions, projects and other happenings in the forage community.  FFGA works hard to provide an information network for its members based on new research and innovations in the industry.

2.  Participation Opportunities
Members are invited to participate or host projects and extension work undertaken by the association which is governed by the Board of Directors.  FFGA is a producer driven organization, therefore producers are encouraged to provide direction and input into research being done by FFGA.   Producers may have specific research projects or ideas based on their operation and forage production which can be shared or undertaken through FFGA.

3.  Annual General Meetings and Seminars.
Annual meetings and seminars bring together forage producers to discuss the industry and maintain contact with their colleagues across the Foothills area. These important events provide a common forum where producers can meet to share and exchange information.

4.  Industry Related Associations
Foothills Forage & Grazing Association enjoys the participation of Corporate Members, such as fertilizer or seed companies, who provide the association with up-to-date information on new developments in their area of expertise, as well as providing partnering funds and sponsorship for some projects.  Corporate members help to bring ideas, innovations and events to the association and its members.

5.  Association Office
Foothills Forage & Grazing Associations day-to-day business activities are administered out of our office at the Highwood Auction Mart.  Members are invited to visit the office; your concerns, ideas and suggestions are welcome.
