WEST CENTRAL FORAGE ASSOCIATION (WCFA)
Mission:
West Central Forage Association grows forage knowledge using leading edge extension, innovative demonstration projects, and information exchange with agricultural producers.
West Central Forage Association (WCFA) is a non-profit agricultural organization based out of Evansburg, Alberta. Since 1978, WCFA has aimed to serve the needs of forage and livestock producers in the region by demonstrating new agricultural technology and production practices through extension activities, applied research and knowledge sharing.
About Our Region:
WCFA aims to work in cooperation with local counties and municipalities, Alberta, Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, West Central Conservation Group (WCCG) other federal and provincial organizations, and local industry to conduct like minded agriculture and environmentally sustainable activities.
WCFA's region encompasses 9.5 million acres (3.855 hectares) and includes:
County of Brazeau, County of Lac Ste. Anne, Parkland, Woodlands, Yellowhead

The results obtained from the research plots and demonstrations, along with current issues of agricultural significance are shared with producers through extension events such as workshops, training seminars, field tours, the monthly newsletter Forage Views and the WCFA Annual Report.
